In addition to our sell side engagements, we have experienced an upsurge in buy side advisory assignments. Numerous smaller market and mid-market firms want to accelerate their growth. However, organic growth for many has not met expectations.

As a buy side advisor, we receive a monthly retainer/advisory fee, plus a success fee per deal. Our scope of services may involve:

  1. Defining the industries/niches for focused searches.
  2. Establishing the metrics of a purchase, with variations to account for management depth, IP advantages, customer contacts, etc.
  3. Creating a plan to identify the A list of potential candidates.
  4. Assessing the financial condition and strength of the buyer client, and capability to access acquisition capital.
  5. Raising needed capital for larger transactions.
  6. Negotiating the purchase transaction on behalf of the buyer.
