Bjoern Fischer
Bjoern Fischer is an executive business visionary, strategist, and execution
leader with more than 20 years of international success in public and
private, European-owned manufacturing companies. As a proactive change
agent, he has driven top and bottom-line impact by intersecting strategy,
operational excellence, and inspired leadership teams as mechanisms for growth.
Most recently, he served as the President and CEO of STIHL Incorporated,
a $2B+ USA business, part of a global manufacturer and distributor of
outdoor power equipment. He began as their CFO and VP of Finance, IT, and HR.
Before joining STIHL, he held two decades of leadership roles at Siemens,
delivering success in global business units in various sectors, including
water technology, medical equipment, logistics systems, and rail vehicle
manufacturing and railway automation. He lived and worked in South Africa,
Europe, and the U.S., and traveled across Europe, Asia, South America,
Central America, North America, the Middle East, and Africa.
He produced financial and operational excellence through cost reduction
initiatives, organizational restructuring, technology consolidation, and
business development strategies.
He served on the Board of Directors of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute
(OPEI), including a tenure as Board Chair.
