Fred Dewey

Fred Dewey is a high impact technology business leader. He specializes
in turnaround, hyperscale, transformation and startup scenarios. He started
his career as a Silicon Valley software engineer from Rochester Institute
of Technology. At Sun Microsystems he led 750 engineers in turning around
a failing system software release and getting it shipped on-time. As the
worldwide VP of technology sales at Portal Software (now a $4B division
of Oracle) he drove revenues from $5M to $300M in just 5 years, while
building a team of 110 sales engineers in 26 countries and retired at
the age of 40. After being a full-time dad for 5 years, he raised $2.5M
in funding, bought an E-commerce and 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) company out of bankruptcy, and turned it around.
Then as Co-founder and CEO of Kachingle (an e-commerce and content monetization
company) he raised $750K of angel funding and led engineering/product
management to seven major product launches. Most recently, after 3 years
studying and teaching emotional intelligence and launching an EQ training
company, he has rescued six different businesses including a flood insurance
company, two e-commerce businesses, a major national outsourced security
guard company, a large national packaging printing company, and a human
services non-profit.
