Mark Sarchet is a senior finance professional who has valued and sold many
businesses in a variety of industries. The breadth of his practice includes
financial advisory, business and IP valuation, and valuations of financial
derivatives and debt instruments. These analyses have involved public
and private companies in numerous industry segments, from hedge funds
to high tech.….. from medical instruments to food distribution
…… from aerospace to software development, and more.
His experience spans valuations for business combinations; litigation disputes
to assess damages claims; transfers of IP among related entities; options
and deferred compensation (Section 409A); allocation of purchase price;
fairness and solvency opinions; licensing/royalty agreements; estate and
gift tax discounting; pre and post-bankruptcy plans; entertainment assets
such as film libraries; IPO’s, etc. He has also critiqued numerous
independent valuations as part of his management role at major accounting firms.
Businesses sold by Mr. Sarchet include healthcare, insurance brokerage,
engineering, software, retail/restaurants, fitness equipment, and many more.
Prior to joining The Mentor Group Inc., he worked in senior valuation positions
at Berger Lewis Accountancy Corp., BDO Seidman, and KPMG. Before that,
he was a software engineer and project manager at Radix Technologies,
Novellus Systems, Lam Research, and the NASA-Ames Research Center.
