Rhett Plotner
Rhett Plotner is a Managing Director of Mentor Securities and The Mentor
Group, Inc. At Mentor Securities, his investment banking expertise spans
numerous sell-side, buy-side, and capital sourcing engagements. He has
also advised early-stage companies via venture and angel investment funding.
Industries served range from food & beverage to high-tech SaaS, healthcare
to cybersecurity, manufacturing to industrial services, and many more
in-between. He possesses exceptional skills indispensable to execute any
investment banking transaction and deliver optimal client results.
As part of The Mentor Group, he has managed and performed valuations of
businesses, common and preferred shares, intellectual property (IP), and
derivatives. He has authored unique cash flow modeling for numerous purposes,
including IP asset transfers, bankruptcy, MBOs, division spinoffs, shareholder
disputes, IRS audits, personal goodwill, and fairness opinions, amongst
others, that have been applied across many industries and government agency projects.
Prior to joining Mentor Securities and The Mentor Group, he was the Managing
Partner of CTX Capital Group, and he is Co-Founder and Co-Chair of Chicago
Booth Angels Network (Texas).
